This is a great foundational exercise that requires significant control over the core/trunk. Bear pose alone can be enough for some people, however challenges can be incorporated as the exercise becomes easier to perform with taps and crawling movements.
While clinical studies support the effectiveness of these exercises, individual results may vary. There are no guarantees of outcome. Before you decide on an exercise, please discuss treatment options with your physical therapist. Understanding the risks of each treatment / exercise can help you make the best decision for your individual situation. Always ask your physical therapist about all treatment options, as well as their risks and benefits. Only your physical therapist can determine the appropriate treatment for your situation.
